Don Lutz was an engineer who worked on the Experimental Breeder Reactor II, EBR II. He describes the history and characteristics of this very important technology. Along the way he describes how anti-nuclear environmentalists and the presidents they voted for: Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton stopped the development of breeder reactors and fuel reprocessing in the United States. The story is told with clarity and bluntness. The extreme anti-nuclear environmentalists and counterparts in elected offices have deprived the United States of using already mined and milled uranium that can provide the USA with all of its electrical energy needs at 1990s levels for over 500 years. Never has so much ready to use energy been taken away from people and never from their own leaders. The magnitude of this harm is not the least bit understood by the people.
